An Inria Associate Team between ERABLE and the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) of Lisbon, Portugal was officially created on January 1st, 2018 for a duration of three years. The Associate Team is called COMPASSO as it intends to address the general problem of a “COMmunity Perspective in the health sciences: Algorithms and Statistical approacheS for explOring it”. COMPASSO is coordinated by Susana Vinga from the IST and Marie-France Sagot from ERABLE.
The main objectives of COMPASSO are to: (1) Model and understand the system biology of communities; (2) Model and understand the co-evolution of hosts and symbionts, and (3) Establish links between infectious and non infectious diseases.
