Bio

Biomedical research engineer (post-doctoral researcher) currently involved in the Inria DORNELL Challenge project aiming to develop an innovative, multisensory, multimodal and smart haptic handle that can be easily installed on mobility aids https://project.inria.fr/dornell/. My work focuses on the development of innovative assistive solutions for people with disabilities, with a user-centered approach, in close collaboration with therapists, users and patients of rehabilitation services. My activities focus on applied research in assistive robotics (navigation assistance solutions based on multimodal sensors, haptic interfaces allowing intuitive control for the user) and clinical trials with end-users (taking into account the user’s needs at each step of the research process, conducting clinical trials, ethics committees, medical devices). My main research platforms are “smart” wheelchairs and multisensory driving simulators in virtual reality. Since November 2020, the different projects in which I’m involved are part of the actions carried out within the academic chair Innovation Handicap Autonomie et Accessibilité (IH2A) led by Marie Babel.
