Neha Aswal

I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie BIENVENÜE postdoctoral fellow at Inria in the I4S research team. I am working on EMASAW project under the supervision of Dr. Qinghua Zhang and Dr. Laurent Mevel.

Research interests / field of activity

  • Structural health monitoring
  • Bayesian filtering
  • Finite element analysis and modelling
  • Nonlinear time-varying systems
  • Tensegrities
  • Structural dynamics

Short bio

I am presently working on the project EMASAW – Efficient multi-sensor approach for subsystem assessment targeting smart maintenance of wind farms (funded by BIENVENÜE fellowship). I completed my PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, India in September 2023. My thesis titled “Health monitoring of tensegrity structures robust to uncertainties”, focused on the development of probabilistic model-based SHM frameworks that utilise different Bayesian filtering strategies to detect, locate and quantify damage in structures while considering uncertainties of different origins and magnitude. Prior to my PhD, I completed my Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pauri Garhwal, India in 2018.
