Boualem Merainani

I am a postdoc researcher at Inria, Rennes and Gustave Eiffel University, Nantes, with Qinghua Zhang and Vincent Baltazart. I am working on the field of vision-based structural health monitoring.

Research interests / field of activity

  • Fault diagnosis of rotating machinery, (fault feature extraction, dimension reduction and classification techniques)
  • Prognostics and health management,
  • Vision-based structural health monitoring

Short bio

Prior to joining the I4S team, I was an Assistant Professor (Maître de Conférences)  in the department of mechanical engineering at M’Hamed Bougara University, Algeria. I received my Master’s degree in 2013 and my PhD in 2017 in mechatronics under the supervision of Prof. Djamel Benazzouz from the same university. I was working in the laboratory of solid mechanics and systems.

I was fortunate to receive a scholarship in 2016 to complete my PhD within MOCIS team (Méthodes et Outils pour la Conception Intégrée de Systèmes) at the CRISTAL laboratory (Centre de Recherche en Informatique, Signal et Automatique de Lille) under the supervision of Prof. Belkacem Ould Bouamama.
