Pierre Lague

I am currently a PhD student under the supervision of Christophe Droz and Nicolas Gutowski. My research is conducted within the I4S team at Inria Rennes, in collaboration with the University of Angers and the DGA (Direction Générale de l’Armement Techniques Terrestres).

PhD Topic

Artificial Intelligence for Structural Resilience Optimization under Severe Vibratory Stress: Application to Fatigue Testing of Military Vehicles.

Short bio

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Data Science from Université Bretagne Sud. Following this, I pursued the first year of a Master’s in Complex Systems Engineering at UTC.

Finally I completed my Master of Science in Machine Learning at the Université de Lille 1. My academic focus and project work have been in machine learning, particularly in reinforcement learning, and signal processing. My master’s thesis is on “Load-balancing and Task Allocation in Dynamic Multi-Agent Systems.” I have gained practical experience through several internships, including as an AI Research Engineer at CNRS, where I led projects on 3D point cloud classification and semantic segmentation for aerial drone imagery. Last year my apprenticeship took place in a start-up where I was lead AI Engineer and had to implement from the ground up an ML-based dynamic Reserved Instance recommendation system for the Azure Environment to monitor and reduce cloud consumption for our clients (LVMH, Decathlon).
