Julian Legendre

Postdoctoral researcher at Inria Rennes.

Research interests

I am interested in studying and developing physics models for fundamental and applied purposes. The model I am currently developing aims at describing the relation between the infrared emission and the temperature of an arbitrary infrastructure. This is strongly motivated by structural health monitoring needs.

Short bio

I completed a Master’s degree in fundamental physics at Paris Sud University (first year of master) and at Ecole Normale Superieure Paris (second year of master). Then, I completed a PhD degree at the center for Theoretical Physics at Ecole Polytechnique (in Karyn Le Hur’s team), where I performed fundamental research on some topological insulator systems (condensed matter and quantum physics fields). After my PhD, I worked for two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Physics and Materials Science of the University of Luxembourg (in Thomas Schmidt’s team), where I carried on research on topological insulators and superconductors.
