  • AMIES PhD prize (French agency for mathematics in interaction with companies and society), 2018

    Chloé Audebert was awarded the AMIES PhD prize for her work with company Fluoptics/Hosp. Paul Brousse (E. Vibert and colleagues). Her PhD was co-supervized by Jean-Frédéric Gerbeau and Irene Vignon-Clementel.

  • SMAI-GAMNI prize (French Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics), 2017

    Mikel Landajuela was awarded the 2017 SMAI-GAMNI prize for his PhD thesis entitled “Coupling schemes and unfitted mesh methods for fluid-structure interaction”, under the supervision of Miguel A. Fernández.

  • SMAI-GAMNI prize (French Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics), 2015

    Annabelle Collin (M3disim project-team) was awarded the 2015 SMAI-GAMNI prize for her PhD thesis entitled “Asymptotic analysis in cardiac electrophysiology : applications in modeling and in data assimilation”, under the supervision of Dominique Chapelle (M3disim) and Jean-Frédéric Gerbeau.

  • Best poster award (CANUM 2014), 2014

    Jimmy Mullaert, PhD student in the project-team REO, received the best poster award of the French National Congress of Numerical Analysis (CANUM), April 3, 2014.

  • Airbus (EADS) Foundation prize, 2013

    Cristóbal Bertoglio was awarded the prize “Best Thesis in Mathematics and their interactions” in 2013 for his PhD thesis entitled “Direct and inverse problems in fluid-structure interaction. Application to hemodynamics”, under the supervision of Jean-Frédéric Gerbeau and Miguel A. Fernández.

    Marc Thiriet received the Franco-Taiwanese Science Foundation prize 2011 awarded by the French Academy of Sciences and the National Science Council of Taiwan

  • Alcan Prize (French Academy of Sciences), 2010

    Jean-Frédéric Gerbeau received the “Grand Prix Alcan” 2010, awarded by the French Academy of Sciences.

  • Grand Research Prize (Ecole Polytechnique), 2008

    Guillaume Troïanowski received the Grand Prix de Recherche 2008 in Applied Mathematics, awarded by the Ecole Polytechnique, France (november 20, 2008) for his internship at INRIA (I. Vignon-Clementel) and Stanford University (C. Taylor).

  • Intership Research Prize (Ecole Polytechnique), 2008

    Jimmy Mullaert received the Prix du Stage de Recherche 2008 in Applied Mathematics, awarded by the Ecole Polytechnique, France (november 20, 2008) for his internship at Paris 6  cosupervised by Y. Maday and M. Fernández.

  • Best master student award (Politecnico di Milano, 2008)

    Matteo Astorino, PhD student in the project-team REO, received the best master student award in mathematical engineering from the Associazione Laureati Politecnico (april 8, 2008).

    Nejib Zemzemi, PhD student in the project-team REO, received the best poster award of the French National Congress of Numerical Analysis (CANUM)(june 7, 2007).

  • Apple ARTS award (Apple company), 2007


    The REO project-team is one of the four INRIA project-teams member of the Cardiosense3D action which has been awarded by The Apple Research & Technology Support ARTS programme for its contribution to the modelling the electromechanical activity of the heart (july 11, 2007)
