Wimmics: web-instrumented man-machine interactions, communities and semantics
Our challenge is to bridge formal semantics and social semantics on the web. We are a joint research team between INRIA Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée and I3S (CNRS and Université Côte d'Azur). Our research areas are graph-oriented knowledge representation, reasoning and operationalization to model and support actors, actions and interactions in web-based epistemic communities. The application of our research is supporting and fostering interactions in online communities and management of their resources. Wimmics is a follow-up of the teams Acacia, Edelweiss and Kewi.

[article+code+data]: A virtuous triptych towards reproducible research
Franck MICHEL, CNRS research engineer Université Côte d’Azur, CNRS, Inria Slides in English – Talk in French Description : Too often, the methods described in research papers are not reproducible because the code and/or data are simply not provided. As a result, it is hardly possible to verify the results…
Tractable Diversity: Scalable Multiperspective Ontology Management via Standpoint EL
Speaker: Seminar Lucía Gómez Álvarez Wimmics Seminar 31/03/2023 – see video Abstract: Ontologies and knowledge bases encode, to a certain extent, the standpoints or perspectives of their creators. As differences and conflicts between standpoints arise in multi-agent scenarios, this may challenge the shared creation and usage of knowledge sources. In…
