Permanent positions
Every year, there is a possibilty to join the Valda team as a permanent full-time researcher, through the Inria competition:
- chargé de recherche classe normale (CRCN) or Inria Starting Faculty Position (ISFP) for junior researchers (post-PhD and possibly a couple of years of post-doctoral research);
- directeur de recherche deuxième classe (DR2) for senior researchers.
The deadline for application is typically in February for positions starting in October. Best contact the team leader well ahead of time (around September of the previous year) to prepare the application.

The doctoral student must have obtained a Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science or mathematics. He or she should have had courses and initial research experience in one of the following fields: artificial intelligence, data management, statistical learning, information retrieval. He or she should be comfortable with large-scale data processing and the use of modern artificial intelligence techniques, particularly deep learning. He or she should be able to read and write research articles in English.
