Désolé, cet article est seulement disponible en Anglais Américain.

I am research scientist at Université Gustave Eiffel (ex Ifsttar) Nantes and member of the I4S Team since its creation. Since 2012, I am Associate Professor at Laval University (Quebec) Canada. Since 2017, I am Deputy Director of Structures and Integrated Instrumentation (SII) Laboratory of Components and Systems (CoSys) Department at UGE.

Research interests / field of activity

My current research topics deal with thermal and optical methods and models (i.e. instrumentation) for energy efficiency assessment and structural monitoring. I was and I am still involved in National and European Research Projects. I also have many years of experience in conducting and carrying out R&D projects with industrials and SMEs.

Member of the following Scientific Associations:

  • French Society for thermal science (Société Française de Thermique – SFT), since 1994
  • European Geosciences Union (EGU), since 2010
  • SPIE (The International Society for Optical Engineering), since 2013

Short bio

I received my Ph.D. in Energetic Systems from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) of Toulouse in 1994 specializing in disturbed aerodynamics wall heat transfer identification by infrared thermography (research work conducted in the French National Aerospace Research Institute ONERA). From 1994 to 1997, I was associate research engineer in the former Department of Studies and Research in Mechanics and Energetic Systems at ONERA and associate lecturer at INSA Toulouse.

I joined the French Institute of science and technology for transport, development and networks (IFSTTAR: previously LCPC – Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées) in 1997. Since 2012, I am Associate Professor at Laval University (Quebec, Canada) in the research team MiViM (Canada Research Chair in Multipolar Infrared Vision). In 2013, at its creation, I was invited to join the Inria and IFSTTAR joint research team I4S (Statistical Inference for Structural Health Monitoring).

I am currently involved as scientific officer at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) for the Division on Geosciences Instrumentation and Data Systems (GI), and member of the steering committee of the Quantitative Infrared Thermography (QIRT) international scientific organization.
