I am a research scientist (CR) at Université Gustave Eiffel.
Research interests / field of activity
The main research work concerns fiber optic sensors (from modelling to application) for the monitoring of civil engineering structures.
Short bio
I obtained a PhD degree at the University of Nantes in 2004. I studied the characterization (spectral and intrinsic features) of Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors by a Low Coherence Interference technique. At the Université Gustave Eiffel (former Ifsttar), I am working on the applications of fiber optic sensing techniques to monitor civil engineering structures. In the I4S team, I am also involved in testing algorithms based on vibration mechanics for the structural health monitoring of wind turbines.

Recent projects
- Infrastar (2016 – 2019) : In the work package Monitoring and auscultation, I was the supervisor of Antoine Bassil (ESR2) that worked on the measurement of crack width in concrete structures by a distributed fiber optics sensing technique.
