I am a PhD student at BAM (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing) in Berlin/Germany and at Inria in Rennes. My supervising tutors are Falk Hille (BAM) and Laurent Mevel and Michael Döhler (Inria).
Research interests / field of activity
I am working on statistical methods for vibration-based Structural Health Monitoring, with focus on stochastic subspace-based damage diagnosis of Civil Engineering Structures. The main objectives are a comprehensive consideration of uncertainties for the statistical decision making and the development of methods robust to changes in the environmental conditions.
Short bio
After my Diploma / M.Sc. at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) and Universidad de Granada (Spain) in 2006 I worked for 6 years in bridge engineering companies, where I was in charge for drafting and design of bridges using conventional and new developed construction methods. Since 2012 I am working for BAM as a researcher and started my PhD in cooperation with Inria in 2016.
