Mission at PUC Minas

From 24 to 26 February 2015, Francis B. Moreira (UFRGS), Daniel A. G. Oliveira (UFRGS), Emmanuell D. Carreño (UFRGS) and Víctor E. M. Abaunza (UFRGS) were at PUC Minas in order to discuss the joint research related to ExaSE project.

A. Carissimi’s visit

Alexandre Carissimi (UFRGS) is visiting the Nanosim team and exAse. He will attend to the next LICIA workshop (October 20 and 21).

Scientific Visit of H. Freitas and M. Queiroz

Henrique Freitas (Prof at PUC Minas Gerais) and Matheus Queiroz (Master Student at PUC Minas) are visiting the INRIA teams (Mescal, Moais) and Nanosim. They will arrive on Monday 13 October and leave Friday 17 October.

PhD Contest on Computer Architecture and High Performance Computing

Laercio Pilla (PhD UFRGS/Université de Grenoble) wins the PhD Contest on Computer Architecture and High Performance Architecture (http://sjc.unifesp.br/wscad/ctd.php). Congratulations Laercio. The work was developped in the context of LICIA, exAse and FP7 HPC GA project.

Laercio Pilla is associate professor (Professor Adjunto) at the Informatics and Statistics Departement of Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC).

4th Workshop of the HOSCAR project

HOSCAR is a collaborative project between CNPq/Brazil and INRIA/France. The 4th HOSCAR workshop takes place in Gramado. http://www.lncc.br/hoscarmeeting2014/

The ExaSE team is strongly involved in this workshop.

Lucas Schnor (UFRGS), Rodrigo Kassick (UFRGS), Francieli Zanon (UFRGS), Rafael Tesser (UFRS), Victor Abaunza (UFRGS) will present their work.

Marcio Castro (UFSC) and Laercio Pilla (UFSC) are former PhD student and postdoc (UFRGS and INRIA Grenoble). They also give a talk in the workshop.
