From June 27 to July 08, Luis Enrique Zárate (professor at PUC Minas) and Pedro Henrique Penna (currently, master student at UFSC) visited the INRIA Corse Team.

In August (from 15 to 26), Matheus Souza (PhD student at PUC Minas) and Daniel Carmo (master student at PUC Minas) visited the INRIA Corse Team. Matheus also presented the paper “A low-cost energy-efficient Raspberry Pi cluster for data mining algorithms” at UCHPC/Euro-Par 2016 in the context of ExaSE project.

Henrique Cota de Freitas (professor at PUC Minas) is spending
one year in Grenoble. He is hosted in the
INRIA/LIG Corse team at Minatec campus (Building 4022).

The HPC4E (High Performance Computing for Energy) project
was accepted. The ExaSe associated team is partner
of HPC4E with UFRGS (Porto Alegre), INRIA/Mescal
and INRIA/Corse. The other INRIA teams are Nachos (Sophia),
Zenith (Montpellier), Magique3D (Pau), HiePACS (Bordeaux).

The HPCE4 PI is the BSC (Barcelona).

The other European partners are Total, Repsol, IBR,
CIEMAT, Lancaster.

The other Brazilian partners are COPPE, LNCC, ITA,
PETROBRAS, UFPE.

Henrique Freitas (PUC Minas) got a CNPq Grant to spend a
sabbatical year in Grenoble, in the context of ExaSE team.

From 19 to 20 March 2015, Pedro Henrique Penna (PUC Minas), Carlos Augusto Martins (PUC Minas) and Henrique Freitas (PUC Minas) were at UFRGS in order to discuss the joint research related to ExaSE project.
