This workshop is focussed on various aspects of wave breaking in waves at free surfaces. The main topics are wave breaking in coastal regions, wave breaking in deep water, and breaking of internal and interfacial waves. The workshop will bring together researchers using a variety of techniques, such as field measurements, experiments, numerical approximations, and mathematical modeling of breaking waves.
The first edition of the workshop was held at the INRIA BSO in 2014 B’WAVES2014. This edition will be held in Bergen and co-rganized by the University of Bergen, by the CARDAMOM team, and by the CPU excellence cluster of the University of Bordeaux. B’WAVES2016 will continue to provide a platform for discussions by featuring only a limited number of invited talks with plenty of room for discussions : B’WAVES2016
