HYWEC workshop in Bilbao

The HYWEC17 workshop  will be take place in the week 3-7 April 2017 at the BCAM institute in Bilbao.

This event is part of the activities of the EU-OCEANERANET MIDWEST project, and its aim is the following:

1- Focus on numerical modelling of the hydrodynamics of wave energy converters, with talks on advanced and recent approaches including all levels of fidelity:

  • Linear  models

  • Depth averaged/Boussinesq models

  • Potential and Euler models

  • Full CFD simulations

2- Give an overview of industrial techniques and applications with interventions of European industrial actors

3-Dedicate a full session to benchmarking, verification and validation in an academic and industrial setting.
