The PERCEPTION group is seeking for PhD students to develop advanced methods for activity recognition and human-robot interaction based on joint visual and auditory processing. We are particularly interested in students with strong background in computer vision, statistical machine learning, and auditory signal processing. The positions are available in September/October 2014 and are fully funded (up to four years) by Radu Horaud’s ERC advanced grant VHIA (Vision and Hearing in Action).
Candidates interested in one of these positions must hold a master degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or electrical engineering. They are expected to develop independent research capabilities and to have excelleng programming skills in C/C++ and Matlab, and excellent writing and communication skills.
