All simulations presented in the gallery have been performed in serial on a HP9000 workstation with a 400 Mhz processor and 1 Go of memory or on a Mac Pro computer with a 2.66 GHz Intel processor and 4 Gb of memory. These simulations have utilized the following in-house software codes:
- Wolf the Mixed-Element-Volume flow solver
- Metrix for metrics computations
- Yams to generate 2D or 3D surface adapted meshes
- GHS3D to generate 3D isotropic adapted volume meshes or MMG3D to generate 3D anisotropic adapted volume meshes
- interpol for solutions transfer
Pictures have been carried out with the software Medit which is free available.
The 2D Gallery presents the following simulations:
- 4 shocks Riemann problem
- 4 slips Rieman problem
- Scramjet internal flow
- A blast in a city
- Rayleigh-Taylor instabilities
- Water wave on a dam
The 3D Gallery presents the following simulations:
- ONERA M6 wing transsonic flow
- Falcon subsonic flow
- Supersonic business jet flow
- A blast in a city
- Rayleigh-Taylor instabilities
- A water wave on a dam
