Israël Tankam Chedjou is the 2021 recipient of the Ovide Arino Outreach Award (OAOA), a joint ESMTB and SFBT prize.
Israël was enrolled in the EPITAG associate team and completed his PhD thesis on the modelling, analysis and control of plantain or banana plant-parasitic nematodes in April 2021.

The OAOA prize is awarded to a young researcher from a Southern country, on the basis of a remarkable contribution in mathematical or theoretical biology, carried out in collaboration with a European or French speaking country.
