Open Network Architecture

Providing open access architecture contributes to help end-users control their content without relying on big Internet companies, and to foster innovation by enabling experiments and deployment of innovative functionalities within the network for small players as well. The term user control mentioned in the second research direction (defining and deploying an open network architecture for user control) refers mainly to control by the user of his/her own data and network infrastructure (e.g. home network), but it also covers specific control of the operator network functionalities.
