Title: “Anatomie et physiologie de la rétine” & “bilan et traitements moderne des pathologies rétiniennes”

Short bio: Frédéric Matonti, MD Ph.D. FEBO, graduated from the Aix Marseille University (France) and was a fellow as a vitreoretinal surgery specialist in the Department of Ophthalmology at the La Timone Hospital in Marseille. Then in May 2011, Pr Matonti worked as a vitreoretinal surgeon in Prof Denis’s Department of Ophthalmology at the Nord Hospital in, France. He was awarded the Research Prize of the French Ophthalmological Society in 2012, rewarding one year of research within the team of Dr. Picaud at the Institut de la Vision (Paris) and Dr. Chavane at the Institut de Neuroscience de la Timone, focusing on animal models of prosthetic/retinal interface as part of a Ph.D. program. He is the author or co-author of over 140 referenced articles and numerous chapters of didactic books. He joined the group of ophthalmologists at Centre Paradis Monticelli in 2018 after being an Associate Professor and then a full Professor at the Hopital Nord in Marseille from 2012 to 2018. He is the general secretary of the French Society of Retina Specialists (CFSR).
