How far is an Artin ring from being Gorenstein?
Roser Homs Pons (Univ. Barcelona)
Abstract: In this talk, we will introduce the notion of Gorenstein colength of Artin local k-algebras to measure how far are such objects from being Gorenstein. Then we will see a characterization of k-algebras of low colengths (0, 1 and 2) in terms of their inverse systems and discuss the problem for higher colengths.
