Short bio
I received my Bachelor and Master degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology, specializing in modelling of cardiovascular biomechanics. Afterwards, I stayed for a PhD as a member of the EurValve project, which was aimed at creating patient-specific models of aortic stenosis to be used for clinical decision support. I then spent 2 years as a postdoc at Maastricht University, investigating the mechanical and hemodynamic outcome of novel pacemaker strategies using computer models. Now, I am part of the MoDeLLiver project, further improving the predictive capabilities of our Digital Twin and incorporating uncertainty quantification techniques.
Research Interest
Cardiovascular biomechanics; Hemodynamics; Digital Twinning; Inverse problems; Sensitivity analysis & uncertainty quantification
