Marie Haghebaert

I hold a Master’s degree in Scientific Computing and Modeling from Université de Rennes. In 2023 I obtained a PhD in Mathematics at the interface of Biology at Université Paris-Saclay focusing on the balanced interactions that the host engages in with its gut microbiota and how this balance can be disrupted. My research used two approaches: mechanistic modeling of host-microbiota interactions at the colon scale and analysis of microbial temporal count data. As a postdoc in the SimbiotX team, my work will focus on creating a numerical twin of the heart to improve the medical treatment of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome as part of the MediTwin project.
