Internships
We welcome smart students willing to work for 4-6 months on hot topics of database management research. We often (but not always) recruit PhD students among the MS interns of the year.
Interns typically join us in March-August.
Recent internship topics (all the topics are taken now) include:
- “Exploratory Analytics for RDF Data”, supervised by Yanlei Diao (Ecole Polytechnique) and Ioana Manolescu (OAK)
- “Political Viewpoint Analysis for Social and Web Sources”, supervised by Ioana Manolescu (OAK) and Xavier Tannier (LIMSI / U. Paris Sud)
Important!
Our research moves faster than this page and we always have new ideas. If you’re interested in one of the above topics or another related one, contact us.PhDs and Engineers
Students interested in joining the team for a PhD could first apply for on of our internships or contact directly the team member with who they would like to work.
Engineer positions are typically Inria-sponsored. They start in October and the announcements of all teams are centralized on an Inria page. Engineers work in par with permanent members and PhD students and are paid competitive salaries. Typically engineers are young graduates with not much experience.
Other Recrutement Information
To join our team as a post-doc, PhD student, engineer or intern, contact the team member(s) you think would be interested.
To work in our team, you would need to join one among the following three employers:
- Inria Saclay
- Université de Paris Sud
- CNRS
To recruit permanent members (researchers or professors), national French competitions are held every year. Typically to join CNRS in October of year N, you need to have an application file by December of the year N-1, whereas for INRIA you will need it in February of year N, and for the University, you will need it by March of year N.
It is crucial that you contact the team leaders (Nicole Bidoit and/or Ioana Manolescu) well before applying for a permanent position, to get up-to-date information on the team perspectives and to optimize your chances.
