Biography:
Leonardo S. Cardoso was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1977. He received his electrical engineering and M.Sc. degrees from the Universidade Federal do Ceará, Brazil in 2003 and 2006, and his Ph.D. degree in 2011 at Supélec, France, on Cognitive Radio and Dynamic Spectrum Access. From 2001 to 2006, he worked in several projects for Ericsson Research at the Wireless Telecommunications Research Group, GTEL, Brazil. In 2006, he joined the Eurécom Institute, France, working in projects on heterogeneous networks and real-time MIMO channel performance assessment, significantly contributing to the EMOS MIMO platform. He is currently working as a post-doctorate research engineer at CITI lab, located in the INSA de Lyon, France, on the deployment of a testbed of physical layer nodes for cognitive radio R&D. His research interests include wireless communications, heterogeneous networks, cognitive radio and signal processing.
