LIRA Stress & Relaxation

European Consortium agreement

Period : 2011-2021

Partners: Philips, Fraunhofer, Inria

Too high levels of stress have an important impact in our society (healthcare bill, productivity loss) and at the personal level (mental and physical health, quality of life). Our project aims at offering services to a user, at home or at work, to help this user evaluate and control his level of stress. The LIRA – Stress & Relaxation project aim at measuring brain and other physiological signals ( ElectroEncephaloGraphy (EEG), ElectroMyoGraphy (EMG), Heart Rate, temperature or Galvanic Skin Response) from the user in order to estimate his/her level of stress and relaxation. This project is thus in the areas of Signal Processing and Machine Learning, and Physiological and Brain-Computer Interfaces. It is meant to design novel tools, in particular stress inducing protocols, as well aw signal processing and machine learning tools Partners:

  • Netherlands: Philips
  • Germany: Fraunhofer
  • France : Inria Rennes Bretagne Atlantique, Inria Nancy Grand-Est, Inria Bordeaux Sud-Ouest
