The purpose of the PaaSage Adapter is to transform the current configuration of a cloud application into a target configuration in an efficient and safe way. The Adapter is part of PaaSage, an open-source platform for modeling, deploying and executing applications on different clouds in an optimal manner.
The Adapter has the following responsibilities:
- validating reconfiguration plans,
- applying the plans to the running system,
- maintaining an up-to-date representation of the current system state.
