
REMOTE TELEOPERATION OF ROBOT AVATAR
For years we have pushed the idea of humanoid robots to be used as avatars. First with the iCub, then with the TALOS humanoid robot. Through our collaboration with PAL Robotics and the euROBIN project, we are also investigating teleoperation with humanoids on wheels, such as Tiago++.
Our final goal is to transfer part of our teleoperation software to contribute to high-stake high-risk and ambitious missions for space & defense, such as orbital maintenance, lunar exploration, IED disposal.
