Bio
Raphael Lorenzo is a PhD student at INRIA Nancy (HUCEBOT Team) and the CEA-LIST laboratory since 2024. He works under the supervision of Dr. Serena Ivaldi (Research Director, INRIA) and Dr. Bertrand Luvison (Research Engineer, CEA) on multimodal anticipation of human-robot interactions for social robotics. Prior to his PhD, he worked on 3D perception for unstructured outdoor environments at Nexter Robotics (2021-2024), where he developed, integrated, and tested deep learning methods for autonomous UGVs. His current research focuses on leveraging foundation models for video and spatial understanding, with broader interests in artificial intelligence for real-world robotic perception.
