Bio
Raphaël BOUSIGUES is a mechatronics engineer specialized in robotics for human health and assistance. He graduated from INSA Strasbourg in 2020 with also a Master’s degree in Vision and Control in Robotics from Télécom Physique Strasbourg the same year.
Since 2020, he has been a research engineer at Inria Centre de l’Université de Lorraine, in the Hucebot team. He first worked with INRS, studying human motor variability during complex tasks shared with collaborative robots. He then developed an active upper-limb exoskeleton for a Ph.D. project within the team.
Since 2024, Raphaël collaborates with Raphaël LARTOT, Serena IVALDI, Anna BUCCHIERI, and Alexandre OLIVEIRA SOUZA to design new-generation exoskeletons, especially active and semi-active upper-limbs exoskeletons. His work focuses on mechatronics, mechanical design, control law, and ergonomic optimization to ensure the best possible assistance and comfort for users, integrating advanced manufacturing techniques such as additive manufacturing, CNC machining, and AI-driven CAD.
