Nicolas Beaufort

Bio

Nicolas Beauford is a research engineer in mechatronics at Inria, working on a wide range of hardware-related topics, including low-level software development, electronics, and mechanical systems. More broadly, his interests lie in cyber-physical systems—computer-based devices that interact with the real world, whether actively or passively.

His professional journey began at Inria, where he spent several years working in robotics. He then moved to the industry for eight years, developing smart room and emergency response solutions for elderly care, before recently returning to Inria to continue exploring robotics and mechatronics.

Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking and tinkering with crazy RC toys.
