Programmable Audio Workshop 2023
The Programmable Audio Workshop (PAW) is a yearly one day FREE event gathering members of the programmable audio community around scientific talks and hands-on workshops. The 2023 edition of PAW is hosted by the INRIA/INSA/GRAME-CNCM Emeraude Team at the Marie Curie Library of INSA Lyon (France) on December 2nd, 2023. The theme of this…

Romain Michon (Emeraude Team Researcher) gave a talk on “Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA): a Platform For the Future of Audio DSP and Music Technology” at the University of Nebraska in Omaha (USA) on October 31st, 2022. Here’s the video recording of it:
The SyFaLa Tool-Chain Is Now on GitHub
Until now, the tool-chain developed as part of FAST (“SyFaLa Tool-chain”) was not public. It is now freely accessible on GitHub: https://github.com/inria-emeraude/syfala. Enjoy!
New FAST Milestone!
A new milestone has been achieved in the FAST project with lower audio latency, access to external memory (DDR) and a series of hardware interfaces to control DSP. This is all presented the video below.
FAST FPGA Audio Processor Prototype
The FAST FPGA audio processor is currently being developed as part of the FAST project. It provides a round-trip audio latency inferior to 80us. It also hosts an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) for sensors offering a “control-to-sound” latency inferior to 100us. It is based on a Digilent Zybo Z7…
Seminar by Miriam Kolar – Human Centered Archaeoacoustics

Miriam Kolar (Amherst College) will be delivering a presentation on “Human-Centered” Archaeoacoustics: Acoustics and Auditory Science in Archaeometric Research on November 16th, 2021 at 2pm at the Amphi Chappe (CITI Lab, INSA-Lyon). “Human-Centered” Archaeoacoustics: Acoustics and Auditory Science in Archaeometric Research Despite over 125 years of modern room acoustics, spatial…
