Abstract:

My work deals with the development of spatio-temporal models and methods for analysis and classification of very high-resolution imagery, with application to remote sensing images and dermato/cosmetology.

Short Bio:

Dr. Yuliya Tarabalka received the B.S. degree in computer science from Ternopil Ivan Pul’uj State Technical University, Ukraine, in 2005, M.Sc. degree in signal and image processing from the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INPG), France, in 2007, Ph.D. degree with European label in signal and image processing from INPG, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Iceland, in 2010.

From July 2007 to January 2008, she was a Researcher with the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment, Norway. From September 2010 to December 2011, she was a Postdoctoral research fellow with CISTO, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD, USA. From January 2012 to August 2012, she was a Postdoctoral research fellow with the INRIA Sophia Antipolis – Méditerranée, team AYIN, France, financed by the French space agency CNES. She is currently a CR2 in this team. Her research interests are in the areas of image analysis and signal processing, pattern recognition, remote sensing, imaging spectroscopy, and high-performance computing.
