Integrative structural analysis of RNAs Harnessing the power of SHAPE probing NGS and evolutionary data for structure probing

Integrative structural analysis of RNAs

We try to predict the structure(s) adopted by RNA, as revealed by one or several low-res/high-throughput experimental setups

Harnessing the power of SHAPE probing

Structural probing techniques, pioneered and fueled by the Weeks group, provide partial information regarding the structure(s) of an RNA

NGS and evolutionary data for structure probing

We integrate evolutionary information (conservation and compensatory mutations) into our analysis and validation methods.

Scientific objectives and consortium

The main objective of this France /Canada collaborative project in Bioinformatics, which involves partners from Inria Saclay , Université Paris-Descartes and University McGill , is to contribute a suite of (semi)-automated computational methods for producing SHAPE data, and interpret it on a structural level. The collaboration will provide efficient combinatorial algorithms, implemented within efficient computational methods, to accurately predict the structure(s) of RNA from SHAPE experiments.
