Short bio

Minh-Quan Dao received his Master’s degree in Robotics from École Centrale de Nantes (ECN) in 2020. Following the completion of this degree, he started his research in perception for autonomous vehicles by pursuing a Ph.D. at ECN under the supervision of Professor Vincent Frémont and Associate Professor Elwan Héry. In November 2023, he successfully defended his PhD thesis on improving autonomous vehicles’ perception capacity using collaborative perception.In December 2023, he joined the ACENTAURI team as a postdoc to work on the ANNAPOLIS project, which aims to detect humans on new means of individual transport (e.g., e-scooter, hoverboard, Segway) and predict their risky behavior.

Research Interests

His research interest includes deep learning methods for scene understanding and collaborative perception.
