Communication and networking Development Engineer (m/f) – Vehicular networking communication
Position description
The candidate is expected to work on Design and optimization of a vehicular network and communication tools for autonomous driving scenarios. The work is conducting an on-field Pilot implementation and a deployment of an OBUs and RSUs in Paris. The candidate is expected to work on the evaluation of the C-ITS system and develop a related real-time applications, followed-up by the necessary experimental evaluation of the developed applications, calibration and final validation.
The candidate will join the AUTOC-ITS project which contributes to the deployment of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) in Europe by enhancing interoperability for autonomous vehicles as well as to boost the role of C-ITS as catalyst for the implementation of autonomous driving. To do that, three pilots will be implemented in three major European cities: Paris, Madrid, and Lisbon located along the Atlantic Corridor. These three pilots will test and evaluate the deployment of C-ITS services in autonomous vehicles under the applicable traffic regulation.
