VirtUs member Katja Zibrek participated in the organisation of a panel discussion as part of the second EMRN Conference: “A Metaverse for the Good” in Alicante, Spain.
The panel brought together experts from neuroscience, ethics, social sciences, and computer science: Laurynas Adomaitis (RISE Research Institutes of Sweden), Beatrice de Gelder (Maastricht University), Mel Slater (Universitat de Barcelona), Mavi Sanchez Vives (Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS).
Key discussion topics included the question of responsibility for virtual behavior and critical ethical considerations in the design of social VR environments.
