Our new paper “Virtual Crowds Rheology: Evaluating the Effect of Character Representation on User Locomotion in Crowds” will be presented at IEEE ISMAR 2024

Our team has been a pioneer in exploring the use of virtual reality to collect data on collective behaviour. While the relationship between density and speed is of prime importance in these studies, in this new article we look at the effect of the way in which the crowd is represented graphically on the speed of movement of a user immersed in it.
