Visits and meetings 

  • Meetings and presentations at the 15th JLESC workshop in Bordeaux, March 2023 
    • Daniel Rosendo, Julien Monniot, Cédric Prigent, Thomas Bouvier – (PhD students, Inria/KerData team), Lucas Meyer (PhD student, Inria/DataMove team), Alexandru Costan (MCF HDR, Inria/ KerData team), François Tessier and Guillaume Pallez (CR, Inria/KerData team), Bogdan Nicolae (ANL), Matthieu Dorier (ANL) met and had discussions on joint work or on related work that could lead to collaborations at the 15th JLESC workshop in Bordeaux, March 2023.  8 talks of the workshop were related to above activities. Details: https://events.hifis.net/event/617/timetable/#20230323.detailed
  • UNIFY 2 meetings at SC23, Denver, USA, November 2023 
    • Jakob Luettgau, Guillaume Pallez, Joshua Bowden, Gabriel Antoniu (Inria/KerData) met Phil Carns, Shane Snyder, Matthieu Dorier (ANL) to discuss on workload analysis of distributed storage systems using Darshan Logs.
    • Alexandru Costan and Gabriel Antoniu (Inria/KerData) met Bogdan Nicolae (ANL) to discuss ongoing work on parallel continual learning.

Other collaborative actions

  • Rob Ross (ANL) served as a member of the PhD jury of Amal Gueroudji (Inria/DataMove), who is now a postdoc in his team at ANL.
  • Tom Peterka (ANL) will serve as a referee for the PhD thesis of Lucas Meyer (Online Deep Learning for Numerical Simulations at Scale), PhD student at Inria/DataMove to be defended in February 2024.
  • KerData and DataMove are participating in the Exa-DoST project of the NumPEx PEPR National programme on Exascale computing (Gabriel Antoniu as a PI, Bruno Raffin as a WP leader). Franck Cappello (ANL) has been invited to be part of Scientific Advisory Board of this project.
