Summary: With the Anthropocene, the prospects of collapse are multiplying. Beyond the diagnosis, there is the question of what action is appropriate in such a context. What should we do in the face of such a prospect? In particular, how can we rethink the place and purpose of research? To answer these questions, we have launched the Closing Worlds initiative. We are proposing a programme designed to provide a practical answer to the question ‘How do we land?

Biographies: Alexandre Monnin has a doctorate in philosophy and teaches ‘environmental redirection’ at ESC Clermont Business School. He is also scientific director of the Origens Media Lab think tank.
Diego Landivar has a PhD in Economics and is a former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure at the Université Paris-Saclay. He is Professor of Economics and Digital Humanities at ESC Clermont Business School.
