Current Work

  • Younes had left his R&D Engineer position within RITS in september 2014 to work as a PhD candidate within VeDeCoM as a part of joint effort between INRIA and VeDeCoM.
  • He is now a research engineer at VeDeCoM

Previous Work

  • Period: February   2014 – September  2014

During this period, Younes worked on the deployment of a communication system  employing various communication technologies (e.g. IEEE 802.11p) and mechanisms (e.g. Mobile IPv6) for automated cars (Cybercar).

  • Period: September 2013 – January 2014

During this period, Younes worked on the FOTs (Field Operational Tests) for the European ITSSv6 Project (IPv6 Station Stack for Cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems) which aims to develop a reference open-source IPv6 ITS Station stack for European and national third parties (projects, industry and academia).

The FOTs in which Younes was involved include mainly IPv6 & Mobile IPv6 communications.

  • Period: February 2013 – August 2013

During this period, Younes worked on the FOTs (Field Operational Tests) for the European SCORE@F Project (Système Coopératif Routier Expérimental @France) which aims to develop a coordinated implementation of cooperative road systems in Europe to improve road safety, by proposing solutions that allow a multiservice approach and ensures the profitability of the system.

The FOTs in which Younes was involved include mainly  GeoNetworking communications between vehicles and road infrastructure units (V2I), and between vehicles (V2V).
