“Rencontres numériques lilloises”, 5th edition

On November 13 and 14, 2018 was held the 5th edition of the “Rencontres numériques lilloises”. This year’s topic was “Domain Decomposition and applications to Partial Differential Equations”. Three speakers, that are C. Besse (Univ. Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France), C. Japhet (Univ. Paris 13, France), and V. Martin (Univ. de Picardie Jules Verne, Amiens, France) presented the theoretical aspects of domain decomposition methods, and proposed practical works targeted towards the implementation of the algorithms. These courses were meant for Master 2 students, but as well for PhD students or young researchers. This event was co-organized by C. Calgaro, E. Creusé, and J. Venel (Univ. Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, Valenciennes, France).
