Bio

I’m a postdoctoral researcher in the RAINBOW team of Inria Rennes. I conduct research on crowd simulation, supervised by Julien Pettré.

From 2012 to 2016, I was a PhD student at Utrecht University, The Netherlands (Department of Information and Computing Sciences). I defended my PhD thesis, titled “Navigation for Characters and Crowds in Complex Virtual Environments”, on 30 March 2017. My research focused on path planning and crowd simulation in 2D/3D geometry. I have published and presented my work at international conferences such as IROS and Motion in Games. Also, I was the main author of Utrecht University’s crowd-simulation software, which is now being used commercially.

After my PhD, I continued in Utrecht as a scientific programmer and a lecturer. I have taught BSc and MSc courses on game programming, geometric algorithms, and crowd simulation. Also, I am the main author of the second edition of the book “Learning C# by Programming Games”, released in 2019.
