Short Bio:

I was born in a small ancient city called TYR in Lebanon. In 2015, I entered the Lebanese University- Faculty of Engineering in Hadath, Beirut. In 2020, I received both my diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering ( Option: Industrial Informatics ) from the Lebanese University and also my Masters in Robotics and Intelligent Systems offered by the University of Technology of Compiègne. In 2021, I pursued another masters related to Smart Aerospace and Autonomous Systems offered by the University of Paris Saclay.

In March 2021, I started working at ISAE-SUPAERO for a 6 month internship on a very optimistic project for estimating the wing shape of high altitude pseudo satellite aircraft’s. My main tasks were to develop a highly flexible wing design for lab experimentation, also an embedded system architecture to transmit gyroscope data of multiple IMU’s placed along the wing and finally asses some computer vision and image processing techniques to better estimate the shape of the wing. Animation

At October 2021, I have started my PhD under the supervision of Paolo Robuffo Giordano , Quentin Delamare and Antonio Franchi . The PhD title is robust control aware motion planning which focuses on applying trajectory and control optimizations for autonomous systems ( UAVs – Manipulators ..) to ensure a more robust and adequate performance.

Short bio

In 2016, I obtained a B.S degree in Computer Engineering from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC).

In 2018, I received the M.S. degree from the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS), Montréal, Canada, with a thesis entitled “Enlarging a Smartphone with AR” under the supervision of Michael McGuffin.

From October 2018 to December 2020, I was a research engineer in the POTIOC group at Inria Bordeaux, France. I worked with Martin Hachet, Bruno Bousquet and Lionel Canioni on the HOBIT project, an augmented reality table that simulates optical experiments.

Since October 2021, I’m working as a PhD student under the supervision of Éric Marchand, Maud Marchal and Claudio Pacchierotti in the RAINBOW group at the IRISA research laboratory in Rennes, France. I’m improving the interactions in augmented reality environments by using tangible objects and wearable haptic devices.

Le Monde: The sense of touch enters virtual reality
