Project Name
Be-aware : Bringing environmental issues closer to the public with augmented reality
Period
Period: 2023-2026
Funding
Funding: ANR
Partners
Partners: CIRED, Lessac (BSB)
Description
Description: Be·aware explores how augmented reality (AR) systems can reduce the spatial and temporal distance between people’s choices and their environmental impact. We design interactive visualizations that integrate concrete environmental consequences (e.g. waste accumulation, rare earth mining) directly into people’s surroundings. This interdisciplinary research will be informed and validated by incentivized and controlled behavioral economics experiments based on game-theoretical models, and be guided by real environmental data and scenarios

EMBER : Situated Visualizations for Personal Analytics
Period
Period: 2020-2024
Funding
Funding: ANR
Partners
Partners: Inria/AVIZ, Sorbonne Université
Description
Description: The goal of the project will be to study how embedding data into the physical world can help people to get insights into their own data. While the vast majority of data analysis and visualization takes place on desktop computers located far from the objects or locations the data refers to, in situated and embedded data visualizations, the data is directly visualized near the physical space, object, or person it refers to.

Period
Period: 2022-2024
Funding
Funding: AeX Inria
Partners
Partners: Université de Bordeaux – NeuroPsychology
Description
Description: In collaboration with colleagues in neuropsychology (Antoinette Prouteau), we are exploring how augmented reality can help to better explain schizophrenia and fight against stigmatization. This project is directly linked to Emma Tison’s PhD thesis.
