History

Pervasive Interction project builds on results from Inria Project PRIMA – Perception Recognition and Integration for Modeling Activity (2003-2015) with contributions from Inria project E-Motion (2002-2014). The objective of Project PRIMA was to develop the scientific and technological foundations for smart environments: environments that can perceive, act, communicate, and interact with people in order to provide intelligent, context aware services. One of the results of project PRIMA is the development of techniques for Situation Modeling, developed in a series of Doctoral thesis and demonstrated in the European Projects FAME, CAVIAR and CHIL and the ANR projects Cont’Act, CASPER and PRAMAD. Pervasive Interaction explores the use of situation models as a foundation for situated behavior by smart objects and environments.
