L’objectif de ce postdoc est de proposer une solution mathématique pour la prédiction des déplacements des tourbillons océaniques. Le postdoc combinera l’assimilation de données, l’apprentissage automatique et la quantification de l’incertitude pour la représentation des tourbillons sous forme paramétrique simple, et comparera les résultats des prévisions avec les observations satellite.

The aim of this postdoc is to propose a mathematical solution for the prediction of eddy displacements in the oceans. The postdoc will combine data assimilation, machine learning, and uncertainty quantification for the representation of eddies in simple parametric form, and compare forecast results with satellite observations.
