Overview

The nature and objective of the MUSCULAR associated team is to increase the bandwidth between the electroencephalography (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) communities and promote a mutually beneficial exchange of methodology and knowledge. The Cronos (previously Athena) team has a longstanding history in forward modelling and inverse problem in electroencephalography and magnetoencephalography. The Imperial College London team has extensive expertise in the processing and analysis of EMG signals for neurorehabilitation and the control of movements. By collaborating via the MUSCULAR associated team, the two research labs will rapidly move forward both the EMG and the EEG communities.

Research directions

  • Forward modelling and inverse problems in EMG
  • Validation of forward models in EEG
  • Simultaneous EEG and EMG modelling
