Ensemble control of quantum systems by adiabatic evolution

Abstract. We first recall the basic properties of adiabatic perturbation and how the latter can be used to identify approximate control protocols between suitable initial and final states in quantum systems. We also show how, based on adiabatic control strategies, we can propose general sufficient conditions for exact controllability. We then show how to use adiabatic control to obtain ensemble controllability between eigenstates of parameter-dependent quantum systems.
